LOCATION:<\/u> \u00a0\u00a0Meetings are held at the Old Carnegie Library Building at 5th & B Ave, 425 SW B Ave, Lawton.\u00a0 Enter through the \u201ctunnel\u201d on the Southeast corner of the building at ground level, near the bus stop.\u00a0 The gate is locked, so press the doorbell button.\u00a0 Someone will buzz open the lock so you can get in.\u00a0 For a photo of the building and entrance, click here<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Join Kennith Wheeler, owner of Kennith Wheeler Photography, as he shares practical strategies for building a successful commercial photography business.\u00a0 Learn how to find your niche, price your work, and market your skills to turn creative passion into profit.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

2. PHOTO SHOW AND TELL:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

If you\u2019d like to share a few of your photos for the group to enjoy, please email them to WichitaWildlight@gmail.com no later than two days before the meeting.\u00a0 Send your photos as .jpg files, if possible, and be sure to include the word SHOW in the subject line\u2014otherwise, we might miss your email!<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

3. ARTS FOR ALL FESTIVAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHOWING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY<\/strong>\u00a0IN THE WWPS TENT<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Arts for All\u00a0Festival\u00a0is May 8,9,10 at Shepler Park (Gore Blvd. & 4th<\/sup>\u00a0St.) in Lawton. As a WWPS member, you can display and sell some of your photography without paying entry fees by showing it in our WWPS tent. You get to keep the money (minus sales tax), and AFA does NOT take a percentage of your sales!<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0INSTRUCTIONS:
\n1. Bring your artwork:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

a. Either, framed (or equivalent such as gallery wrapped) with hangers or wire on the back (wire preferred). Framed pieces without wire or hangers will not be displayed.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

b. Or, shrink wrapped and mounted in sizes 5×7 or larger to be placed in our tabletop display rack. Note: members may use the WWPS shrink wrapping machine. (recommended to keep your art clean.)<\/span><\/h3>\n

c. You can bring as many pieces as you want. But, we try to balance the amount of display space among artists, so we may not display everything you bring.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a02. <\/strong>Write or attach a note on the back: 1. The PRICE (WHOLE DOLLARS ONLY), 2. YOUR NAME, 3. TITLE. Also put the prices on the front on a piece of paper slipped into a frame corner, or something similar.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

3. Make a list of what you bring to show, so you\u2019ll know if something is missing later.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

4. Bring your artwork to the WWPS tent on Friday, May 8th from 3-6pm.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

5. After the show, you must pick-up your work no later than 4:45pm on Sunday, May 10th. We are not responsible for it after the close of the show.<\/span><\/h3>\n

6. If you display in the WWPS tent, we ask that you volunteer at least 2 hours \u201cbooth sitting\u201d in the WWPS tent or work at one of the AFA booths (beer, Coke, hospitality, etc.). Watch your email for a sign-up sheet.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
