January 14, 2021, 7:00 PM – MONTHLY MEETING (via Zoom)
This will be a regular meeting, but conducted online using Zoom. After some announcements and opportunity for comments by members, there will be a program:

PROGRAM: How to Use Hyperfocal Distance for Better Photography” by Clem Wehner. Do you photograph landscapes, people, flowers, and animals? Do you photograph groups of things like relatives at a family reunion? You need to understand and use hyperfocal distance if you want everything in focus, especially when there are objects both in the foreground and in the distance. This is most often true when photographing landscapes. To maximize the area of the image in focus, you need to understand what affects Depth of Field and where in the scene is the best place to focus to get most of the scene in focus. The camera cannot do this for you. You could just point the camera somewhere and hope everything is focused, but you’ll soon realize that you need to understand hyperfocal distance. If you don’t understand this technique, you are likely to find some of your image out of focus. There are always lots of people with blank stares when hyperfocal distance is mentioned. Don’t be one of these any longer! So, join us at the WWPS zoom class and learn.

If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas you’d like discussed in this presentation, please send an email to WWPS no later than a day before the meeting. We’ll try to incorporate what you ask into the presentation and definitely in the newsletter.

If not already on our mailing list and you want an invitation to the zoom program, send email to: WichitaWildlight@gmail.com
